Discover Engineering UofU

This free, traveling exhibit introduces high school students to the 11 types of engineering majors offered within the University of Utah College of Engineering. Through fun interactive elements and video content, your students will enjoy a hands-on introduction to:

  • Biomedical Engineering

  • Chemical Engineering

  • Civil Engineering

  • Computer Engineering

  • Computer Science

  • Construction Engineering

  • Data Science

  • Electrical Engineering

  • Entertainment Arts & Engineering

  • Materials Science & Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

Throughout the day, science and math teachers bring their students to interact with Discover Engineering during their class periods. School visits typically run 2-3 days. Click here to Download Flyer

Registration begins Jan 1, 2023,  The website says that this year they are doing 2 sessions, June 20-21 and June 22-23.  Engineering state is meant for students between their Junior and Senior year of high school.

This is a month free program for families that includes a lecture on a science topic and an activity.  Their website also has videos and activities to do at home.
